Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson was born in Mexico into a family of musicians. The music she grew up with was classical Boleros from the past along with traditional romantic and Ranchero songs. Ana is an avid fan of Tangos. Also, she loves operas, and every form of dramatic performance. After singing with her mom, she started more serious training in vocals at age 16 under the tutelage by renowned Mexican tenor FlavioBecerra. In the School of Music of Guadalajara University and the School of Sacred Music of Toluca in Mexico kept her in the music field. In Guadalajara and Mexico City, she was part of a variety of opera choruses and chamber ensembles. After moving into the United States, she performed as a member of the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. Then in 2002 she relocated to Southern California. She sings in Ensemble XXI Redlands, and is a performer of Latin American traditional music solo at many private events. As a teacher and musician she has volunteered for various community-based projects because of her passion and love for music. Ana has also been previously a member of Community Chorus of Redlands as and the Inland Master Chorale and Performance Loft. Ana feels privileged to have the opportunity to be able to share her love for the traditional Latin American music. She hopes that this will encourage younger generations to keep the tradition alive.
